CronBeats ("we," "our," or "us") operates the cron job monitoring service at CronBeats.com and CronBeats.io. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service, regardless of which domain you use. Please read it carefully.

1. Information We Collect

Account and profile. When you register, we collect your email address and a password (stored in hashed form). You may optionally provide a name or other profile details in your account settings.

Service data. We store the data necessary to provide the monitoring service: job names and schedules, workspace and team membership, ping/signal history (success, failure, timing), alert rules, and integration settings (e.g. Slack webhook URLs, which we use only to send alerts). We do not execute or inspect your cron scripts or their output.

Payment data. Billing is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. We store billing-related identifiers (e.g. Stripe customer ID) and plan/subscription state so we can provide the correct features and invoices.

Usage and logs. We may log IP address, user agent, and similar technical data for security, abuse prevention, and operational debugging. We may collect aggregated or anonymized usage statistics to improve the product.

Cookies and similar tech. We use cookies and similar technologies for session management, authentication, and preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work if you disable essential cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide, operate, and improve the CronBeats service; process payments and manage your subscription; send you transactional and product-related messages (e.g. alerts, security notices, important service updates); enforce our terms and prevent abuse; and comply with applicable law. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. Job and alert history are retained according to your plan (e.g. 7 days to 1 year as described in our documentation). After you cancel or delete your account, we may retain some data for a limited period for legal, security, or operational reasons; you may request deletion or export by contacting us.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access, correct, or delete your personal data; receive a copy of your data (portability); object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent where we rely on it. You can update your profile and password in Settings. To delete your account or request an export, use the account deletion option in Settings or contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.

You may opt out of non-essential marketing emails via the link in those emails or by contacting us. You cannot opt out of essential service or security-related messages.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, secure authentication, and access controls. You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys confidential. If you suspect unauthorized access, please notify us promptly.

7. International Transfers

Our systems may be hosted in the United States or other countries. If you are in the European Economic Area, UK, or another region with strict data protection laws, your data may be transferred to and processed in those jurisdictions. We rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions) where required.

Our service is not intended for users under 16 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it.
